Review: 2 in 1 volume mascara by Essence.

Hello Sweethearts,

Today I'm going to review the 2 in 1 volume mascara by Essence.

So first things first I love the colourfull eyecatching packaging a lot. Even though I'm not sure if purple & that kind of pink are the best colour combo. It's still very lovely.

This is a picture of my eye with no mascara on.

&& this is picture of my eye with e few layers of look 1 on. As you can see it's pretty natural & subtile.

That's because the first brush has less mascara on it.

&& this is a picture of my eye with 2 look on top of  1 look.  As you can see this look is more dramatic than the first one.

This is how the brush looks like. As you can see it has a lot more mascara on it.

In this picture I demonstrate how & why the amount of mascara is different on one and the same brush.

My overall opinion is that I do like the mascara a lot. It's easy & quick to use && you can create a very nice eye catching look with it as well as a very subtile look.
The only down side is that you can't touch your eyes when you wear this mascara. The mascara gives  to easily off.

What's your opinion on this mascara?

Essence: Eyebrow stylist set && Lash & brow gel mascara

Hello Sweethearts,
Today I'm going to review two products that I have been using for over six years, SIX YEARS ! Insane. I do have to admit that their was a period I didn't use it.
I have repurchase these two products more than three times, so I also hit pan with the more than three times. [which is my record]
I remember buying the Eyebrow stylist set and Lash & brow gel mascara for the first time ever. I also bought essences eyebrow pencil & used them all on my eyebrows. I was super obsessed with my eyebrows for some reason. [ I don't use the eyebrow pencil any more & I never repurchased it.]

Essence Lash & brow gel mascara is very good. A lot of people think it's weird that I use a see through mascara on my eyebrows but to be honest it's a life saver. I always carry one in my bag. All I have to do is shape my eyebrows & they stay that way the whole day.
I don't feel that I'm wearing anything on my eyebrows. && no one ever notices me wearing eyebrow gel.
The Lash & brow gel mascara is only €1.85 and one of my most repurchased make up items ever !

Essence Eyebrow stylist set is very good too, very pigmented.  The eyebrow stylist set is €1.49.

Here are the swatches, I didn't try hard at all that's how pigmented they are.

The eyebrow stylist set comes with two colours, a brush, instructions & three templats. I can't remember  me reading the instructions. But I can remember me using the brush which is a total No No. It makes your eyebrows way to dark. I prefer to use a eyebrow brush instead, it also looks more natural.

These are the three templats that also come with this eyebrow stylist set. I first thought I wasn't going to review these.
Because the first time I bought this set I used them the wrong way. I only coloured my eyebrows with them. I didn't use the coloured part of my eyebrows as guideline for where to remove hair. Must have looked so silly!

The second time I tried them I plugged my eyebrows way to much without them. So I barely had brow left to pluck.

After that I had a period in which I didn't use these at all. I also was, still am, against plucking eyebrows. Cause at one point they won't grow back & I don't want to look silly with uneven plucked eyebrows when I'm older. Also wild and hairy eyebrows were  in style.

Yesterday night was the third time I used them. I know I'm still against plucking but I was like why not give them a try.

My natural eyebrows.

My eyebrows after I coloured them with the stylist set & templat.

My eyebrows after I plucked them && removed the colour. So what do you think?

Essence Magnetic nail polish & Magnet: Magic wand! & Magic star!

Hello Sweethearts,
Today I'm reviewing the Magnetic nail polish & Magnet by Essence.
I remember when the first magnetic nail polish came out, not by essence but in general. I was like no, that's nothing for me. I can't actually remember which brand was first but I can remember seeing a instruction video. & a month later everyone had magntic nails.
At one point Barry M came with their collection && I saw the amazing star effect. That was when I started to think. & when I saw that Essence had a similiar one I was like why not try this!
Especially because Essence isn't expensive at all.

I of course decided to go for Magic star! because I fell in love with the star effect in the first place. I decided to go with Magic wand! because I like pink metallics && I would also wear this without magnetic effect.
Magic wand! : €1.99
Magic star!: €1.79

I really like the packaging the magnet comes in. Especially the whole instruction in pictures.

This is the magnet without the packaging.

You can actually see the magnet in this thing.

&& this is a picture of the nail polish. As you can see no magnetic effect at all. && literally tried ever thing. [especially after the picture, cause when I took it I was like haha this is going to be the picture to show with out the magnetic effect. To show how gorgeous the nail polish is by itself.]

I have tried; thin layer, thick layer, double layer, without base coat, with base coat, fridge magnet, extra clean nails. && nothing worked.

I eventually decided to use the fridge magnet to see which of the two didn't respond. As you can see in the picture above the nail polish did respond.
The magnet also responded to the fridge magnet. So my conclusion so far is that the Magic wand! & the Magic star! aren't a good combination.
But because I wanted to be sure I decided to order Barry M Magntic Blue nail polish.

I will try the Essence magnet out on the Barry M nail polish & I will try the Barry M magnet out on the Essence nail polish.

What are your thoughts on Essence Magnetic nail polish & Magnet?

NYX Jumbo Pencils: Baby blue, Lavender & Strawberry Milk

Hello Sweethearts,
Today I'm going to review the Jumbo pencils from NYX. I have had them for a while now & never actually reviewed them on my blog [as far as I know].
I did  review them on my youtube channel. But for some reason I felt like their aren't enough reviews about these pencils so that's why I'm writing this review?!

[feel free to click on any of the pictures to make them lager]

The first pencil is this Baby blue. I choose this one because of the name && also I use to wear a LOT of blue eyeshadows.
&& to be honest no make up collection is complete without a light blue eyeshadow, right?

This is the Baby blue swatch. It's honestly a very gorgeous colour ! It's very pigmented.

The second Jumbo pencil I own is Lavender. I actually bought this one because of the name. I totally love the flower Lavender. It also looked more white than purple on the website I bought it on. I still like it though. I also had a period in which I wore a lot of purple eyeshadows.

This is the swatch of Lavender. As you can see it's truely purple.

And the third Jumbo pencil I own is in Strawberry Milk. I bought this one because 80% of my eyeshadows are pink. I always thought that me wearing pink eyeshadows was going to be something I would do a lot. I actually never did. However I still like this one.

This is the swatch of Strawberry Milk. I  like that this one has a light pink with the 'metallic shine' effect.

To be complete honest I barely use these NYX jumbo pencils. When I bought them it their was a whole hype around them. Because their cheap & an eyeshadow & primer in one. I maybe would have used this pencils a lot if I didn't already have MAC paintpot & maybe if I bought the white pencil.
I wouldn't deny that these are good, because they're. I always use these as primer when I'm doing a whole face art thing around halloween. & it always stays on for more than 12 hours. But for everyday basis they're just not my thing.

What do you think about the NYX jumbo pencils?
&&
Which one is your favourite?
